PROFESIONAL ART SONRISAS NURSERY

This project was carried out for Sonrisas Nursery School, a children’s center located in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. They commissioned us to create a professional exterior mural with the intention of creating a warm, educational, and colorful visual environment for the youngest children. The mural covered three surfaces with combined dimensions of 5 x 4 m, 4 x 8 m, and 5 x 4 m, allowing us to develop a large and integrated composition that complements the circulation areas and play zones of the classroom. The premise was clear: a cheerful, child-friendly design featuring cartoon characters from different eras, from classics like Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse to modern icons like Doraemon and Dora the Explorer, created to stimulate the imagination and provide a positive visual welcome for all the children.

The creative process focused on capturing that mix of generations of characters that live in the collective memory of both young and old, combining them harmoniously and respectfully with the nursery’s educational environment. During the execution of the professional graffiti mural, we worked with vibrant colors and soft shapes to convey energy, joy, and dynamism, paying attention to every detail to ensure the figures were recognizable, friendly, and stimulating for the children. One of the most rewarding aspects was seeing the little ones stand in front of the mural, pointing out characters and relating them to stories they already knew, which confirmed that we had achieved an authentic visual connection with their world.
