PROFESIONAL MURAL PEINE DEL VIENTO

This project was carried out for a private client in Palma de Mallorca, who commissioned us to create an evocative and personal mural on an exterior wall next to their pool. The mural surface measured 4 x 3 meters, and the client explained that they wanted a reinterpretation of the iconic Peine del Viento, Eduardo Chillida’s sculptural work, because the image evoked childhood memories. The mural’s objective was not only to decorate but also to emotionally connect the space with personal experiences, adding a poetic dimension to the exterior of their home.

The creative process began with studying the original sculpture and adapting its forms to the mural format, ensuring that the aesthetic remained true to Chillida’s essence while also integrating with the architecture and light surrounding the pool. The professional graffiti was executed using painting techniques that respect the volume and movement of the artwork, creating a balance between abstract planes and visual dynamism. One of the most special moments of the project was witnessing the client’s reaction to seeing the familiar shape of the Wind Comb come to life on the wall, as if the sculpture had been “brought to the water” to engage with the Mallorcan landscape.
